The Times is a daily national newspaper published in the United Kingdom since 1785 when it was known as The Daily Universal Register.

The Times and its sister paper The Sunday Times are published by Times Newspapers Limited, a subsidiary of News International. News International is entirely owned by the News Corporation group, headed by Rupert Murdoch. Though traditionally a moderately centre-right newspaper and a supporter of the Conservatives, it supported the Labour Party in the 2001 and 2005 general elections. In 2005, according to MORI, the voting intentions of its readership were 40% for the Conservative Party, 29% for the Liberal Democrats, 26% for Labour.

The Times is the original "Times" newspaper, lending its name to many other papers around the world, such as The New York Times, The Times of India, The Straits Times, The Times of Malta and The Irish Times. In North America, particularly, it is sometimes referred to as the 'London Times' or 'The Times of London'. The paper is the originator of the ubiquitous Times Roman typeface, originally developed by Stanley Morison of The Times in collaboration with the Monotype Corporation for its legibility in low-tech printing.

The newspaper was printed in broadsheet format for 219 years, but switched to compact size in 2004 partly in an attempt to appeal to younger readers and partly to appeal to commuters using public transport. An American edition has been published since 6 June 2006.

How many times should a nurse be allowed to fail his/her boards multiple times and still have a job?
Q. I just wonder. I work in an ER and we have 4 nurses who have failed their boards. Two of them have failed for the third time, and two of them have failed for the second time. Personally, I don't want them near me as a patent and our employer has keep them as techs untl they pass. How many chances should they have before they are fired? If you work on healthcare how many times does your employer allow? How do you feel about this issue?

A. In the state I live in you take the BOARDS just after Grad., once you pass you never take them again, as long as you stay current on eucation and pay your license renewals on time. I know someone that is taking them for the 5th time but has to take a remedial course. The BOARDS are very tough and many people have to take them multiple times. I passed first time but my daughter had to take the test twice.

A. I have always did the free feeding thing. But if your puppy hasn't been doing that it might overeat. I guess read the bag and monitor if your pup is gaining or staying at the same weight. Mainly stay on a schedule for whatever you decide.
