I've noticed that the morning after a night of binge drinking my bowel movements tend to have a distinctive feeling and character to them. A lot of other friends have mentioned the same thing, so I'm under the impression it's not just me. What is the physiological cause of this? Alcohol acts as a depressant drug that slows down the central nervous system and causes all body functions to be slower. It is also an emetic that releases water into the blood stream, some if which will be removed through deification. The relaxant effect of the alcohol will also make passing your stools easier and more comfortable. So, your bowl builds slower with a bulkier stool and passes out in a smoother fashion. As to why you find this enjoyable, only you can tell that one, but enjoy the moment! Q. I usually get in at least 2, and sometimes 3 a day. A friend of mine said she only poops about once every 3 days! That doesn't seem normal.
